Here we have my dads organ which he purchased brand new in 1970 as can be seen by the receipt. It has been in constant use until recently when he passed away. It can be seen working if you wish to view it.
There is some minor damage to the woodwork as it was used many times with his band in the early years and later on for charity events but due to the solid construction the damage doesn’t affect the sound.
This is one of the last models to be built in the USA and although the plate shows 117 volts it was set up for 240v by Wurlitzer for import. It has the flying cocoa tin speaker inside to create the unique Spectratone effect. The R at the end of the model number relates to it having the rhythm unit installed.
Please note that this unit shouldn’t be confused with the later european manufactured Funmaker model which doesn’t sound half as good.
The organ is very heavy and will need a large vehicle to transport it along with some strong people to lift it. As such this is a COLLECTION ONLY listing.
If you are looking at this you will hopefully know what it is and how basic it is for today’s market which I feel is reflected in the starting price. Please remember that it it 48 years old. Viewing / playing is highly recommended to appreciate it’s rarity.
This is a sold as seen listing with no guarantees due to age.
