Upright piano. John Brinsmead & Sons (1836-1921). Dark polished wood. Good working order. All keys play. The material on the back of the piano is in great condition. There are a few age related scratches, scuffs and marks to be expected of a piano of this age. Approximate measurements are:
Height: 51″ (130 cms); Width: 54″ (137 cms); Depth: 24″ (61 cms).
This piano has been part of our family for the past 18 years and my daughters passed their grade 8 ABRSM exams practising on this piano. The piano has been loved and regularly tuned over the years. It is a feature and adds a charming accent to a home. A little bit of its history – it was manufactured for John Palmer Music Shop in Godalming – photo of the shop held at the Godalming Museum. A house move now necessitates its sale. Buyer to arrange collection from Guildford – it is heavy. We also have two vintage piano stools that are listed separately, as well as some other items that can no longer be accommodated. All from a pet-free and smoke-free home.
