I don’t want to sell this piano. I love it.
Alas, I’m moving abroad to live with my girlfriend (who I also love) and unfortunately I can’t take this piano with me.
The thing is, as soon as we’re settled, I’ll most likely buy the exact same model and start all over again.
Why? Because it’s just so wonderful to play, it sounds amazing, and aren’t piano’s just marvellous anyway.
Some little things I love (and you’ll surely love too) are:
Compared to other brands of digital piano, this one just sounds so much more real.
The model was only released a couple of months before I bought it so it really does have the most modern piano technology in it – and boy can you tell the difference between this and older digital pianos.
Most piano shops don’t stock this so I spend ages “sound testing” it on Youtube and eventually was mostly-nearly-sure. I went into a piano shop to ask about it and was told pretty much, “Yes, that’s the one to buy. It’s the best by miles” by a guy who used to work in a shop that stocked it. I took his word for it and have only ever celebrated the decision since.
When you press keys on the left, the sound comes out from the left. As you move to the right, the sound moves to the right. It’s just so absorbing like this. You can really get into the feeling more.
There are 4 piano sounds, they’re all very good. I don’t like the Yamaha sound at all – it sounds too dinky for me – and all four of these sound better to me than the best on a Yamaha.
And of course, compared to a real piano, you get the benefits of turning the volume up and down, having a built in metronome, MIDI support and all those kinds of things.
There’s not much else to say. If you love piano and you want a piano, buy this one. It’s amazing.
It was 2,100 for the piano, 100 for the stool, and about 100 for the books. So that’s quite the saving for something that’s in mint condition.
Of course, if you don’t need the books, I’ll happily give them to a friend.
It’s collection obviously as I’m not going to post a piano even if you ask nicely.
I live on Lothian Road in Edinburgh. Come try it, buy it and take it home.
It’s got a good weight to it but I’m strong so together we’ll move it around, feel confident in that.
NB: This piano is also listed on Gumtree and as I’d rather sell it from there to save fees, it might go from there first.
