For sale: My Bechstein Model V grand piano from 1899, rosewood case, 6ft 7/ 201cm. It plays beautifully and was reconditioned 20 years ago. The Bechstein Model V is considered one of the great grand pianos made, coming from the golden age of piano manufacture.

I am a piano teacher at Norwich School, and have owned this piano for 10 years. I bought it privately from a couple who bought it 10 years previously from a dealer. It has always been in my home. I am selling it to purchase an upright piano as my toddler is in need of a play room! I am very sad to see it go. It has been well cared-for with 2/3 tunings per year and voicing/ regulation work performed by my technician as and when needed.

The casework has some scratching on the top fore-lid, which you can see in one of the pics. This part of the piano would of course usually be opened back on itself so the scratches would be on the underside and not visible. There are also some small areas where the French polish has come off around the keyboard area of the piano and the music stand, but these do not detract from the overall beauty.
