A fine musician’s instrument that formerly belonged to a professor of music.
Conservatoire grand 5 ‘ 6”, 88 key, overstrung, from a very respected German manufacturer. c1906
This instrument has been internally very well maintained. The action has been completely overhauled in the last 10 years and the piano is tuned to concert pitch and keeps its tuning well.
Cosmetically this instrument is worn and tatty, with areas of cracked / flaking varnish on the external casework and a few small areas of chipped veneer. Externally the piano could do with extensive renovation – but, in our opinion, it is a sufficiently good instrument to justify the expenditure.
The tone is rich and characterful with a light even action. Potential buyers are welcome to come and play the instrument by arrangement.
