Hammond Organ C3 with Pedal Board
The organ console was manufactured in 1964, the original Quality ticket is still attached and is a UK spec 50Hz model. I have personally restored the organ and pedal board over an 18 months period, putting in hundreds of hours. The drawbar assemblies were removed, cleaned and rebuilt with all connections re-soldered. Likewise with the rocker switches. All the keys were taken out and hand polished then reassembled with new felts. The tonewheel generator was carefully oiled with proper Hammond Oil and runs smooth and silent.
The organ has a Leslie outlet and is set up to plug a 122 two speed Leslie cabinet straight in, also the original outlet to connect a PR40 Cabinet is there and working. I have a scruffy PR40 which needs attention and I would be happy to include this free of charge if the buyer wants to take it. The two half moon switches allow switching of the the PR40 and control of a Leslie speaker.
I have sympathetically restored the finish on all the woodwork, there are minor blemishes on the lid but they do not detract from the overall appearance. After all the organ is 54 years old.
The half moon switches are currently missing their plastic control knobs, replacements are available from the States, which I will try and get before the organ sells.
The pedal board has also been stripped, cleaned and refinished to complement the rest of the instrument.
Everything sounds as it should, mains lead will come with it. My intention was always to restore it back to its original condition for someone else to appreciate, play and enjoy for years to come, there are not many unmolested C3’s around these days.
Because of the size and weight of the organ, the buyer will have to arrange collection. Enjoy looking.
