A superb quality upright piano made in 1988 in England by Welmar, one of the finest (and last) of the British piano makers. Tone and tuning
Lovely rich tone with great balance between brightness and warmth, and a large dynamic range. Excellent full bass for a mid sized upright and the treble is clear and bell like with a sweet brightness. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has just been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard.
Hammers and strings
Not much wear at all in the hammers – it has certainly not been played heavily but has been regularly tuned and maintained through the years – tuning record included.
Sound board
Excellent condition, no cracks or splits
Case
Stunning dark Walnut case with high gloss lacquer and very nice repeating pattern on the front panel. In very good condition all round. Matching height adjustable stool included.
Dimensions – 108cm tall x 50 deep x 148 wide (widest point at top lid). A fairly small sized upright.
