This is our old family Bechstein Concert 8 upright overstrung piano. The serial number is 121765 which we think makes this a 1923 piano and it was made in C Bechstein’s Berlin workshop.
The piano casework was restored some years ago by another family member and the casework is in good condition. There are some small chip marks to the left of the lid and both front leg bases (we have photographed these).
We don’t really play this instrument and so have decided to sell it. We took some advice regarding the condition and have been advised that whilst the piano can be tuned, because of its age, the instrument will need some restoration. We have been advised that this piano is very well worth restoring. We are happy to arrange for potential buyers to come and inspect the piano (in Hull).
The buyer will need to arrange their own specialist removal service.
