For Sale, my 1964 Hammond C3 Tonewheel Organ and pedal board. The organ and pedal board have undergone a recent extensive restoration. The upper manual assembly has had all traces of foam removed and the keycontact covers primed. Fortunately there was no damage to the contact wires. Photos available on request. The lower manual has felt seals but was inspected anyway. This should now secure the longevity of the organ. At the same time the busbars were removed and cleaned up.
All the playing keys have been removed and hand polished, New stop felts have been fitted to restore the playing action. The drawbar assembly has been stripped and cleaned and the drawbar knobs polished. Likewise all the rocker switches have been removed and rebuilt.
The generator is oiled correctly, starts properly and runs smoothly.
I have sympathetically restored all the cabinet woodwork and pedalboard wood finishes to get them as close to original as possible. All the hinges and fasteners were cleaned and polished, the fallboard lock is present and working with a key.There are minor blemishes in places as you would reasonably expect on a 55 year old instrument. The leslie switches show some age related surface wear but work perfectly.
All tones are present, percussion, vibrato etc all functions as it should,
I do not play but love the sound of a Hammond and have a fascination for the way they work and wanted to restore this C3 for someone else to enjoy for years to come. If you can play like Jon Lord I am happy to sell the organ to you!
