s with all YPT models, the Yamaha YPT255 portable keyboard is based on the entry level PSR model, in this instance the PSR-E253 and shares much of its functionality along with it’s case design. The sound quality of the YPT model is excellent and the unit robust making it an ideal choice for beginner keyboard or piano players or for use in schools. With it’s great quality sounds and rhythms, and supplied with a power supply, music rest in a colourful box it is an ideal Christmas gift for the budding musician. It is worth noting however that this doesn’t have touch sensitive keys, MIDI or USB – for this we would recommend the superb Yamaha PSR-E363.
