*****Update. This piano will be withdrawn from ebay on Monday as my new piano will be arriving and the space is needed***
A mid-century upright piano made by Danemann 1965 and of excellent quality.
It is at concert pitch and holds pitch well.  I am a professional musician and I have had it for 7 years now and it has and continues to serve me very well. I have decided to downsize to a smaller piano for space saving.
This piano has a very resonant and warm tone with a hefty bass and very striking angular wooden case. The side view shows the unique pyramid shape and protruding keyboard which gave rise to this particular Danemann’s nickname ‘The Danemann Dalek’.  These were produced for London schools by the London County Council in the 60s, who commissioned Danemann based on their reputation for making extremely high quality and robust pianos that hold in tune. The pyramid shape was created to make them extra stable so that they could not be pushed over when moved around.
There are some signs of wear including a missing top to the most extreme right black key. This is easily and cheaply remedied by your tuner -though I left it because it never gets used by me. The sides of the case have some scrapes and by the back caster there has been a knock at some stage which has taken a small piece of wood off. This is at the back and I’ve not noticed it until inspecting it for this description.
All in all, it has some surface wear and tear but the piano works very well indeed and would serve anyone well as it has for me.  I have made a video of it which you can see via the youtube link below.
