Collard & Collard Rosewood Grand Piano . Condition is Used.
My beloved grand piano needs a new home. I am downsizing and am therefore seeking a new owner – someone who will love this antique instrument as much as I do. The instrument is approximately 6′ long and just over 3′ high. (No piano stool or covering for the piano is included).
The piano is a straight-strung Collard & Collard grand piano with a rosewood finish. The piano is in full working order. However, it is in need of a few minor repairs (inc.repair to the music rest fixings) and extensive French polishing to restore the finish (having been in an apartment suffering from mould – and being cleaned with a cloth some years ago.) In addition, earlier in its life, the piano was largely covered in white paint – traces of which remain. The instrument is being sold “as is” with no guarantees or warranties of any kind.
Among repairs during my time as owner, it has had an excellent replacement faux ivory keyboard (for the white keys) and a re-chroming of the metal desk rest component. Overall, the instrument is in full working order – despite (as I say) needing minor repairs and a large amount of cosmetic work. Although it is straight strung, the instrument has a reasonably loud bass – and the tone is very good throughout. It has not been tuned for a while, but has not really needed a tune recently as it holds its tuning well. I recommend a fresh tuning, however, after it has been relocated.
Buyer is to arrange couriers/removal firm and to pay for removal plus any other transportation costs and insurance applicable – from Charlton SE7 in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE. Thank you very much for reading.
