Upright Acoustic Piano – Sames – Wilson Peck Of Sheffield And Nottingham.
This beautiful antique Rosewood piano was likely built shortly before the infamous fire which destroyed the William Sames factory in 1921. It still plays as cleanly and musically as a piano over a century old should.It shines a beautiful reddish brown when polished but needs a retune when moved to its new home. As with many instruments still around from the early 1900s it is downtuned 100cents or a single semitone.There are no sticky keys, very little damage other than a few nicks out of the fronts of keys, and the original locking key is still hanging on the inside and continues to work (keep those sticky little fingers out until theyre ready to tinkle the ivories themselves).This has been a wonderful piano for me, Im a professional musician, but it needs a new home as I only need my electric piano now.It was excellent value when I got it and continues to be so.I can also offer delivery of the piano but this would need to be arranged based on the winning bidders location. My delivery chap I use will charge 50 to anywhere within 10 miles of Scarisbrick nr Ormskirk, then 50p per mile after, up to 25 miles.Alternatively youre welcome to pick it up yourself. Usual standard weight of a good old fashioned well built upright.Enjoy!!!
