Steinway Model Z. Serial no 424xxx dates it to around 1971. Similar model to what John Lennon wrote ‘Imagine’. Superb pianos nevertheless. These don’t come up for sale often. This one had been in the same family since new before I owned it.
Has recently had some refurbishment work done to it by a technician such as refacing of hammers and replacing of action centres. Has been tuned to concert pitch A=440Hz. Plays with a fairly heavy touch. Typical sweet rich Steinway tone. Lovely grain on the wood with fallboard closed as pictured. Cherry red sort of colour (Mahogany perhaps?). Gloss finish.
Steinway uprights are some the finest pianos you can buy for the money. Some consider them the best. Viewings welcome in North London. Delivery can be arranged on your behalf by reputable piano movers. Get in touch for more information.
