A beautiful baby grand, serial number 15669, from the AH Franke of Leipzig Piano Company, circa 1900 complete with key. Full overstrung iron frame bearing the manufacturers trademark. Traditional style ebonised case with all its original period features, raised on turned fluted tapering tulip legs with brass castors. Dual column lyre. The ornate fretwork music desk is on an adjustable platform. Superb 7 octave keyboard. Length 5 ft 6 ins (168 cm), keyboard width 4 ft 7 ins (141 cm), height 3 ft 2 ins (98 cm). The case has some blemishes and the pedal base some wear, but generally the appearance is pleasing. Structurally the piano is very good with no cracks to the soundboard or frame and all the notes play well with an even responsive action. It needs re-tuning and so will need attention by a professional. Purchased some twenty years ago, but now need the space. Also included is a polished ebonised piano stool with cabriole legs. Collection only – buyer to arrange and meet delivery cost. If required seller knows of a local firm who can deliver.
