Used Allison Baby Grand Piano Mahogany Gloss (At Rimmers Music Bolton Store)This ‘Allison Baby Grand Piano’ is a great size designed to fit in to any home by being extremely space saving. With a length of only 4ft 3” (130cm) it can tuck nicely into a corner or be a focal point of the room depending on your preference. This is piano is at concert pitch and has been tuned at regular intervals. Internally there are no issues other than usual wear and tear for the age. Made in approximately 1950 (and built to last), this piano will give you good service for many years if not generations. The cabinet is not immaculate, but respectable for the age. There are a few marks as shown in the pictures but nothing of major significance. This piano would look nice in any room. The action is very responsive as you would expect from a grand piano and it has a lovely warm tone and depth in the sound.
Priced accordingly for the age and condition this piano is extremely good value for the money, you can have a grand piano for the price of and upright! If space is an issue they do not come smaller than this. Overall this piano looks nice, is a small size for a grand piano and is a real pleasure to play. Dimensions Height: 99cm (Lid Down)

About Allison Pianos.. The Allison Piano Company was one of England’s older and more renowned piano manufacturers. The firm was established in 1837, with factories located at 50 New Bond Street, London. During the 19th Century Allison built a full line of square grand, upright and grand pianos. By the turn-of-the-century, their square pianos had been discontinued and a line of very well made player pianos had been introduced to their line of instruments. Allison was known for building very good quality pianos, and they enjoyed great success for well over a century. During the 20th Century, the Allison Piano Company was purchased by the Chappell Piano Company of England. Chappell continued to build the Allison brand name until about 1959.
