I am selling it on behalf of the club, which is run by volunteers.
It WAS funded by Salford City Council. Sadly, the council has left the club dangling for OVER A YEAR. They are now having to fund themselves!
This is an antique upright piano that is VERY heavy.
Burr walnut case in excellent condition
It is in working order but I do not have ANY technical or musical knowledge.
It is dry with no signs of any water damage / marks
The keys do not stick
It says “Baxter London” – I assume that is who made it.
It also says “Sole agents, established 1855, J.C Sherwin & Son, Market Square, Hanley”
As far as we are aware, the piano has been in the club since it opened 50 years ago.
I do not know the age of the piano – but there is a serial number plate (in photo)
Also included is the piano stool in the photo – which does not have any under-seat storage.

We can deliver within 10-15 miles of Monton, Eccles but you must check BEFORE BUYING – as it depends on the generosity of the son of a club member who has a van – with me helping!!
