A Farrand & Votey organ in an ornate – probably mahogany – case, circa 1897, and made in Detroit Michigan. Farrand & Votey organs were renowned for being well-made instruments of high quality.
Originally sold by Dale, Forty & Co. Cardiff.
Previously used in Welsh chapel, before passing into private ownership and then into the collection of my museum. As I am now relocating premises, this item sadly has to go as my new premises are not suitable for it to be housed there.
PLEASE NOTE: VINTAGE RECORD PLAYERS SHOW ON TOP OF ORGAN ON ONE PHOTO ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE
Although the bellows/foot pump appears to work, the organ has not been tested for some time.
Buyer must collect from our premises – will need a van and several strong men to move it as it is very heavy.
Priced for a quick sale as relocation imminent but will consider a sensible offer
