Baby grand piano in good condition. It has a beauiful tone and responds well under the fingers. It took me through my Grade 8 exam and still sounds amazing. This piano is a “boutique” baby grand; it’s the piano for you if your heart is set on a baby grand but space is at a premium, measuring just 130cm in total length, and 143cm width across the keyboard case exterior edges.

This piano has a very special and romantic provenance story; it was imported by Rudi Ibach co. in the late 1930s, and was bought from their showrooms by a man for his fiancee as an engagement present. The piano comes with the original letters of sale from the manager to the new owners, together with the original little silver key, duet stool, and original coloured glass weight distributors for the feet. Years later it was given to me as a wedding present from my mother, and I have loved it and played it, and so has my daughter in turn. We have looked after it very carefully, in a consistent temperature/atmosphere, with regular tuning and maintenance over the years as needed.

It has one or two slight marks to the case, as you would expect for its age, but nothing major, and they could be easily fixed by a french polisher.

We are heart-broken to see it go, but we know it needs to go to a new home, to be loved and played by a new generation in turn. Is this you?
