Beautiful upright 1930s piano with a lovely rich sound and mother of pearl decoration.
Full length, crossed strings. 2 music holders, 3 pedals (middle one does not work but is repairable).
Selling only due to inheriting another piano. The piano was probably made as an exhibition piano in the 1930s. It is beautiful to look at with a lovely inlay panel with mother of pearl, and pretty carvings at the edges and on the legs.
The piano was refurbished by the previous owner – about 6 years ago. It is currently slightly out of tune with itself, but is a long way from being concert pitch. We have been advised it would cost about 200 to attain concert pitch, and that is not guaranteed so it may only ever be suitable for playing unaccompanied.
The keys are not ivory. There is a slight damage to the left-hand side of the lid, and a small scratch on the right side of the piano (see photos).
Dimensions (at largest point) height 52.5″, width 62″ and depth 26.5″
It is very heavy!
