Bechstein art case grand piano in exquisite burr walnut
Piano has been fully restored in the UK in the last few years at phenomenal expense paid for by a very wealthy organisation in Knightsbridge who used to own this piano (who sold it due to replacing it with a Steinway Model B)
Restoration included – new strings, new wrestplank, new tuning pins, soundboard repaired in the most minimal way possible (original varnish retained) and recrowned, action mostly replaced, new hammers with no indentation at all, new dampers, new felts all round. No expense spared. Piano retains its original satin varnish which is in extremely good condition.
Pictures do not do this piano justice – an incredible item and restored to the highest possible standards
