We bought this Carl Bechstein boudoir grand piano in 2006 from a reputable piano house.
It is 200cm (6ft 6in), built circa 1903, and has been tuned and played regularly. Although only slightly bigger than a baby grand, the longer strings result in a more balanced, full-bodied tone, closer to a concert grand.
It was bought for my wife, who gives piano lessons, and our daughter, who holds a diploma in classical piano and is now a jazz pianist.
It has a beautiful tone, though there are some blemishes on the bodywork, but it is still a fine instrument.
We are obliged to let it go because we are moving house and will not have space for it.
