This upright piano is the C. Bechstein Model 9 (or IV) from 1894 in black. serial 35217
Convincing quality, small-series production using craftsmanship and rational state-of-the-art technology, made in Germany by C. Bechstein of Berlin. Bechstein pianos have a noble, colourful, elegant and harmonious voice.
It has been my grandmothers family since new and therefore holds a breadth of history. However it is very warn and has various chips and dents. as you can see from the pictures the pedals have been broken off by a removal company in transit.
It will require re-tuning and a little TLC. Reluctant sale due to moving house.Buyer will need to remove and it is extremely heavy.
