Bechstein Model III Semi-Concert Grand Piano With A Satin Black Case C.1890
A Bechstein Model III semi-concert grand piano made in Berlin circa 1890. Features include: satin black refinished case with square legs and twin column lyre, clean 88 note keyboard, sunburst period music desk and Schwander action. Established in 1853, Carl Bechstein is a highly respected German maker whose instruments are renowned for their exceptional quality, touch and tone. Franz Liszt composed many of his famous works on a Bechstein concert grand and their pianos continue to grace stages around the world today. This piano is in working order having undergone previous refurbishment work. There is a small fissure in the lid which has been repaired.
