Bechstein upright piano, serial number 49223, which dates it to the mid-1890’s. There was an original bill of sale with it at some point, which indicated it was originally sold in Eastern Europe but it’s disappeared – the suspicion is it may have fallen down inside the case. There is another number stamped in the upper left part of the frame – 25928 – but I haven’t been able to determine what that is or relates to.
I know nothing about pianos I’m afraid, but I’ll happily try to answer any questions. It’s in good condition – I couldn’t tell you about pitch or tone I’m afraid and I don’t believe it’s been tuned properly for a long while.
Buyer to arrange collection and transportation, including removing it from it’s current place of residence – a bungalow in WF14. Cash on collection preferred. There is no ‘Buy it Now’ price on this item, auction only.
