In excellent working condition. A few light signs of use but overall very clean and tidy, with clean battery compartment (see photos).
Includes carrying case and slightly mangled manual (front cover missing but full instructions for use of ASDR function, calculator etc).
The VL-1 combines a calculator, a monophonic synthesizer, and sequencer. It has 29 calculator-button keys (G to B), a three-position octave switch, one programmable and five preset sounds, ten built-in rhythm patterns, an eight-character LCD, a 100-note sequencer, and a multi-function calculator mode. The VL-1 is notable among electronic musicians for its uniquely low-fidelity sounds.
As featured in the 1982 hit ‘Da da da’ by Trio, and “The Man Whose Head Expanded” by The Fall, and used by The Human League, Gorillaz, Lady Gaga and, er, The Vengaboys :/
