Upright Challen piano,Iron framed, overstrung and underdamped. Serial No. 62549 which according tothe build list makes it a 1937 built piano. I cannot guarantee that this is thecase and any further investigation will need to be done by any prospectivebuyer.
It is a great example of atraditional style vintage piano. This piano has been in the family since new, alwaysregularly tuned to concert pitch (A440) and has been very well looked after.Due to its age there is some cosmetic damage (see photos), thus the competitivepricing.
It has a responsiveaction, producing a beautiful sound and warm tone. It has an 85 note keyboardwhich plays with a light to medium touch with original tops (possibly ivory).
It was refurbished sometime ago (cannot remember the date).This piano would be ideal for a wide rangeof players from learner to experienced pianist.
Dimensions (approx.) 55(140cm) x 45 (115cm) x 25 (62cm).
