The case is in fantastic condition with great sheen from its original French polish, the sound is mellow and the touch is extremely responsive. well worth a visit to play in our Dorset piano showroom. Chappell founded in 1810 and was a London company in Bond Street, well known over the years to build exceptional instruments and were very popular in homes around the UK. In later years Kemble took over production of Chappell pianos, but this is an original with its ornate turned legs and decorative inner frame. The strings and action still have years left in them before they would need any attention.
