FOR SALE: CHAPPELL OF LONDON BABY GRAND PIANO (88 keys) IN ROSEWOOD WITH VELVET PADDED STORAGE PIANO STOOL.
I was left this piano by the sellers of the house I moved into as they couldn’t take it with them, but I now need the space for something else and I don’t play myself.
The piano has been played by a relative recently and he said it was a lovely instrument to play, but probably now needs re-tuning. (He would like it himself but doesn’t have space for it). It is a lovely piece of furniture in its own right if it ends up with a non-player.
It has been dated to 1929 based upon its serial number and is made by Chappell of London who made pianos by Royal Appointment to the King of Spain (Royal Warrant plate within the piano).
The only visible damage is to the veneer either side of the keyboard (see photos). The left side is barely noticeable; the right side a little more so. Apart from that, there are a few very minor scratches on the top that could be polished out quite easily if required.
