Chappell Upright Piano with matching mahogany piano stool (not Chappell) in good condition. Bought in 1993, professionally refurbished by Castle Pianos in Castle Donington (see photo) at a cost then of over 1000, this piano has remained a cherished item ever since in our smoke free and pet free home. This beautiful piano was bought for our daughter aged 7 and she learnt to play it to grade 8. However it has not been used since she left home some 15 years ago. We had hoped we might be able to move the piano into her new home so she could keep it – however limited space has not made this possible.If you are an audiophile, you’ll recognise Chappell is a long established British brand and the sound this piano makes is rather warmer and more mellow in tone and altogether more pleasing to the ear than other German and Japanese brands which tend to sound harsh and shrill by comparison. All 85 keys and both foot pedals operate correctly.Viewing and playing available by appointment only. Collection only.This item is extremely heavy so a van with tail-lift and 2 strong people (minimum) will be needed for the move unless a professional piano mover is being organised. As with all piano moves, re-tuning is recommended once in its new position.We hope the new owner will derive as much pleasure from this piano as we have had over the years as parents together with our daughter.
