Circuit Bent Yamaha Pss-140
Classic Yamaha FM Synth that has had the circuit bending treatment!
This keyboard has been “data line bent” so that the FM chip data can be turned off or patched differently. The hack breaks out the FM signal into 8 Switches & an 8 Banana Plug Patch Bay. There is also a “octave down” switch.
The Keyboard now plays crazy distorted FM mangled sounds. The drum patterns still work and can be heavily destructed. This is the ideal sound box for sonic inspiration. Sample the output for your own unique instruments and drum samples.
Full Disclosure: There is wear and tear on this model. The keys are a little wonky but all playable. Sometimes, some of them do not work due to the circuit bending creating unstable connections.
There is a crack on the left hand side of the keyboard.
Battery function removed.
Note – As this product has been circuit bent it is prone to crashing! It is not stable (which is also its beauty!). A simple turn off, reset of all swicthes & turn on will fix it. Please be aware that this product might not be for everyone, as a little bit of patience is required to find “usuable” sounds.
