The MZ-2000 features the new (zygotech polynomial interpolation) sound source for amazingly clear and realistic sounds. It has 64 voices polyphony, 61 dynamic keys with after-touch and is equipped with a disk drive able to playback SMF 0/1. Reverb, chorus and master effects can be applied to all parts and four DSP channels that can be applied to individual parts. There are now 562 sound to choose from including digital drawbars and a built in synthesizer with easy synth or full edit facilities. The 562 sounds include 226 GS sounds, 12 drum-kits, drawbar controllable organ sounds and synthesizer controls like LFO and filters make the new Casio a versatile sounding instrument.
The built-in sequencer saves about 40,000 events. The accompaniment with 8 tracks offers 120 rhythms including backing patterns, each offering four variations and twelve fill-ins. Roland and Technics styles can be converted and stored.The MZ-2000 features a microphone input that can be assigend to internal effects and is ready to be connected to Mac or IBM computers.
