ELKA SPACE ORGAN. Monosynth, String Synthesizer, Drum Machine, Drawbar…. Condition is Used.
There are so many features on this monster, it’s hard to know where to begin.
There’s a great sounding monkeying with 11 presets, and some parameters can be edited, like attack, release, filter cutoff, and vibrato. The solo synth can also be detuned and layered with other voices on the keyboard.
There are lush analogue string voices available on the upper and lower keyboards. They sound very close to the elka rhapsody string synthesizer.
There is also a drawbar organ, and bass pedals that can play bass tabs or the monosynth.
There’s also a drum machine.
There are a couple of great demos of this instrument on YouTube, just search Elka Space Organ.
The only real faults with it are the power switch is a bit wonky, and one of the tabs that controls an elkatone cabinet doesn’t latch, but I don’t have the cabinet.
Anyone who wants to come and try it out can come and look. The organ is located in Peckham.
