The FC-1 is a handmade MIDI controller * to control the organ software VB3 II from GSI: https://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=44 or other software organs. The drawbars, potentiometers and switches are fully programmed to work with VB3 ll with no need for mapping. Its just plug and play! Along with a computer with the VB3 ll software, a MIDI keyboard and an audio interface, FC-1 gives you an affordable (and portable) alternative to a true tone wheel organ, both for studio and live use. The controller can easily be brought to gigs (in a dedicated flight case) and can be connected to a standard MIDI keyboard or stage piano via a MIDI cable (supplied).FC-1 is solidly built (by hand). The front, top and back panels are made of black FR-4 plates (fibre glass) with printed text. The side panels are made of solid cherry wood. The electronics are based on the Arduino Uno (developer-board based on an open-source platform). It cannot transmit MIDI over USB, but it can be connected to PC / Mac via external sound card with MIDI cable, or it can be connected to “MIDI In” on keyboard / stage piano (which in turn is connected to PC / Mac with USB ).
