1996 Rieger-Kloss 109 Attractive (made by Bohemia, Czech)
Welcome to Berries Barn Pianos – specialising in high quality modern pianos, fully serviced and tuned and carefully delivered to their new homes.
This Czech made Rieger-Kloss is a beautiful looking and sounding small piano, with impressive bright and rich tone and smooth and even action that would suit any level of player. It is a high quality piano made in 1996 but hardly played, although it has been well looked after. Made by Bohemia in Jihlava (now owned by Petrof) to very high levels of craftsmanship – Bohemia are not a very well known maker but have an excellent reputation among musicians and piano specialists. The design is almost identical to Petrofs small uprights – it seems Bohemia / Rieger-Kloss and Petrof worked together quite a bit!
Tone and tuning Lovely tone that is big, warm and bright, with good even sound throughout the registers. Very good dynamic range. It has been tuned to concert pitch (A=440) ready for delivery. It is very satisfying to play!
Keyboard and action The full compass 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been fully regulated to play perfectly smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action. Perfect for beginners or advanced pianists.
Hammers and strings The hammers have barely any indentations indicating very little use so far. The strings also appear brand new.
Sound board Excellent as new condition.
Case Very attractive dark mahogany satin finish case. In very good condition – the odd mark here and there and some slight sun fading but the piano looks stunning and would suit pretty much any home.
Dimensions109cm tall, 143cm wide – a small upright but with impressive sound!
