Calisia 112 Modern Upright Piano 1987Video demos available on request.
A good quality small upright, made in Poland in 1987 by the well regarded Calisia company. This piano was been well looked after, is in excellent condition and would suit beginners to intermediate players. Fully serviced, including tuning and regulation, fully checked inside and out (any parts replaced as necessary), this is a great looking and sounding piano with rich and warm European tone.
Tone and tuningIt has a big and quite rich tone with nice balance between brightness and warmth, and a good dynamic range. Good full bass tone and the treble is clear and bell like without being harsh. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano features a 3rd (middle) practice / celeste pedal for very quiet practice.
Keyboard and actionThe full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated so plays smoothly with medium weight across the whole keyboard. It is responsive and satisfying to play.
Hammers and stringsVery little wear in the hammers – it has certainly not been played heavily. The hammers are by Abel – top quality, made in Germany.
Sound board – spruceExcellent condition, no cracks or splits
CaseBeautiful looking natural walnut wood case with polyester high gloss lacquer. In very good condition – some small scratches and marks here and there but still looks really good. Matching stool included.
Dimensions – 112cm tall x 56 deep x 148 wide (widest point at top lid). A small sized upright.
