Samick JS-118 Upright Piano Gloss Black 2005
Welcome to Berries Barn Pianos – specialising in high quality modern pianos, fully refurbished or serviced, tuned and regulated and carefully delivered to their new homes.
This is a very good quality piano made by the well regarded Samick company in S Korea c2005. Their pianos are mainly seen under the Reid-Sohn (a UK importer) brand in the UK and are very popular with schools and colleges due to their excellent build quality and great tone. Samick are now the worlds largest manufacturer of musical instruments and their piano making operations have seen collaborations with Bechstein and Seiler in Germany.
This is a lovely looking and sounding piano for beginners to advanced players, in excellent condition and with very little use so far. It would be a great option for someone looking for the benchmark Yamaha U1 but with a significantly lower price tag. We have 2 Yamaha U1s in stock for comparison.

Tone and tuning
Lovely bright tone, with no harshness, and very good dynamic range. Has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano features a 3rd pedal for very quiet practice.
Keyboard and action
The full compass 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has just been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action, which will suit most players, including beginners.
Hammers and strings
Very little wear in the hammers (German felts) and the strings (Roslau) are in excellent condition. Internally the piano is as good as new.
Sound board
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks or splits. Double frame protects the soundboard as well as enhancing the tone and tuning stability.
Case
Stunning looking black high gloss polyester lacquer. In excellent condition – would suit a modern looking home. The piano features a soft close lid – ideal for small hands, and is on castors for easy moving.
