Unfortunately we have to sell this wonderful old piano which has been in our family for a number of years.
All our children played this piano to grade 8 and indeed continue as musicians now.
We will miss it at Christmas.
The Piano is German, has an iron frame, is overstrung and underdamped. It will need tuning, and two hammers need repairing.
It is Circa 1880 and the wood is in good order for its age.
The key board is also in good order.
I do not know the maker, but there is a German badge as can be seen on the photographs,
and a number stamped – 8886
The faded dealers stamp is Traffords of Blackpool.
There is a small chip on the top at the back which cannot be seen when the piano is in place.
The buyer will need to organise removal and delivery from Totnes. TQ9
It is currently in storage in a damp proof environment and is easily accessible.
