This is a beautiful Gors and Kallman baby grand piano in very good condition.
Its in a French Polished Mahogany case (might be Rosewood, I’m not an expert) and sits on tapered legs. This piano was made circa 1922. It is a fairly small instrument which will suit anyone struggling for space but still wants an acoustic piano and has a rich tone, typical of a German made piano of this era. Gors & Kallmann made pianos for over a century in Berlin, and are well known for making great robust instruments.
It was bought from a Newlands Pianos in Edinburgh based on a recommendation from a close friend, who is a professional musician, pianist and piano teacher in Edinburgh.
We’ve had it for a few years and recently it hasn’t been getting used (the pianist grew up and moved out!).
It has always sat in the same position in the lounge with the curtains closed around it to protect it from bleaching.
Lovely, deep, resonant sound, as you’d expect from a baby grand.
