The Schiedmayer is a bit of a curious hybrid. Serial number dates it 1910-11, but at some point it has undergone a refurbishment…. possibly 1920s/30s. Less ornate legs and they are in different place to originals. Plainer more ‘art deco’ look than it originally had. Tuners said the timber used for these vintage German pianos unavailable after WW2 and this produces the unique old European’ mellow tone. Collection Loughborough, cash on collection
