High quality ‘Steveway’ grand piano shell, widely used by many professional performers, and ideal for adding class to any performance.
The shell has an aperture into which any electronic keyboard fits. From the audience’s perspective, it looks as though the performer is playing a real grand piano, but the performer has all the advantages of using a digital keyboard.
The shell is extremely well-made and sturdy, and comes with three detachable legs. I have also upgraded the shell to include dimmable LED lighting over the keys, which means the shell can be used in any lighting conditions. A heavy-weight cover is also included in the price.
Brand new, the shell retails for over 1,000 with its cover (see http://www.stevewaypianos.com/index.php/sizes/), and as my shell is only 2 years old, I think the sale price of 500 is very reasonable.
The main body of the shell is in excellent condition, but there are a few very minor scuffs, and one chip (see picture below). None of this is visible to the audience however.
The shell is quite heavy, so would be expensive to courier. Buyers can collect from me (Deal, East Kent), or if transport is an issue, I would consider delivering the shell myself, for petrol cost (within say a 75-mile radius).
I have used the shell in several live shows, and have had lots of very positive audience feedback – people often come up to me to ask how I got a grand piano on stage, and are amazed when I show them the shell!

2. The dimensions of the aperture is 1470mm wide x 220mm high. Pretty much all keyboards should fit, but it’s worth checking – and also if the keyboard is close to 1470mm wide, AND has power/audio inputs/outputs at the side, rather than the back, it might be a bit of a squeeze.
