Hello!Included in this auction is a very rare Hammond model KA tone wheel generator organ (serial number 2026). Included in the auction is the original pedals and stool. Also included is a Leslie 145 cabinet with an upgraded Leslie 251 6pin amplifier and cable. Im not certain, but Im lead to believe this is the same as the Hammond Model A but was made for UK import. The organs preamplifier has recently been looked over and recapped where necessary and is running beautifully without electrical hum or buzz etc. The organ has regularly been oiled and drawbars cleaned, all keys make contact perfectly and the action feels great. The Leslie speed is controlled by a half moon switch on the organ and goes between fast rotation to the left and no rotation in centre position. The Hammond model A was the first Hammond in production. Two 61-note manuals, 25-note pedalboard, 2 x 9 drawbars per manual, 2 pedal drawbars, 9 presets per manual, a tremolo effect generator (“tremulant”). Made between 1935-1938. This organ has been used in a recording studio for the past 8 years and has been on many records in that time. Please see photos for cosmetic condition/wear and tear – which is to be expected on a instrument of this age. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
