Dual midi organ keyboards suitable for Hauptwerk.
These are two stacked organ manuals with midi implementation, including midi-controlled pistons.
I purchased these on eBay last November. They are good quality keyboards which have wooden cores and a delicate, responsive touch. They work very effectively with Hauptwerk. The pistons can be used to change stops or set combinations if the sampled instrument allows these processes. There is a standard five-pin midi out socket.
Please note: while these manuals are generally in full working order, a problem has cropped up with the lower keyboard. Occasionally, F below middle C sticks. On examining this, I noted that this particular key has been repaired with tape at some stage, and it is the tape which appears to cause the problem (please see photo 3). At a guess, if you have the time and some patience the faulty key could be repaired to work reliably. I dont think it is a major problem, but it will need to be fixed for concert and recital use – even on YouTube!
My main reason for selling, is that the keyboards are too heavy for my purpose. At some stage, when I have time, I shall replace them with independent keyboards that can be moved more easily.
If you are making a Hauptwerk instrument, and have a little expertise, these could be an inexpensive starting point. Original cost was 350 I am starting the bidding at half that.
The listing says Buyer collects. However, delivery could be arranged at cost, but it would have to be via any van or similar.
