For Sale a very rare and unique PianoBuilt by JULIUS BLUTHNER himselfHand crafted in 1881 from the highest grade materials and hardwoods.- using the ALIQUOT Piano Sting stystem- 4 strings per key, for the 4 ending octaves This Blthner piano is from 1881-2 as evidenced by the soundboard decal and the serial number. The 4th String Aliquot was invented by Julius Blthner in 1876 and first showed at the world’s fair in Philadelphia where his innovation won first prize – which you see noted atop the second column. This piano also features the beloved hand carved garden motiv music desk design created by the founder Julius Blthner himself. Bluthner piano company offer this fine desk to this day and it was also chosen for the 150th anniversary Julius Blthner Edition in tribute. 20 years ago:This piano has been restored with new hammers, new strings, felts, and other extensive maintenance.
– This Piano has been sitting with its wing opened for the last 15 years, getting played few times a year.- it is dusty on the inside as you can see, but no defects.
