Kawai VPC1 88 note piano controller master keyboard. Perfect working order!
Featuring Kawais acclaimed RM3 Grand-II 88 note wooden fully weighted and graded piano action, this is the ultimate master controller keyboard for piano software, other keyboards and/or modules etc.
Superb feel from the keys; meaty and fluid and very satisfying to play! Triple sensors and Ivory touch keys surfaces. Includes pre-loaded touch response curves intended to compliment the use of various well known piano software programmes. The developers of Ivory, Galaxy, PianoTeq and Alicias Keys have approved the built-in curves for use with their respective software products, although the touch curve can be fully customised to the users requirements or preferences.
This keyboard runs via USB power from the computer its hooked up to. A separate mains power adaptor (not included) could also be used (it utilises the same power adaptor as the Kawai ES110 portable piano) although it shouldnt be necessary as this will almost always be used when connected to a computer anyway.
The VPC1 software editor can be freely downloaded from Kawais website, as can the user manual. That said, I just plug it into my MacBook and it works instantaneously and flawlessly. Ive never needed to adjust the touch curve (although the four pre-loaded curves plus the default standard curve can all be accessed without recourse to the software) or had to delve into the operating software.
Three pedal Kawai pedal unit as pictured also included. This features a progressive damper pedal for half damping effect.
Theres a few marks here and there. Most of the marks are visible in the pictures. I am the second owner and the previous owner placed various items on top, mainly a laptop, but in any event there are some surface scratches here and there on the top and also on the rear face of the VPC1 and end cheeks. No dents or other serious issues though; its still perfectly presentable. This is in perfect working order. The keys themselves are absolutely immaculate and really look and feel unplayed – there are no untoward noises or rattles or unsightly/uneven gaps between keys. It all works flawlessly.
These dont come up very often. It is widely acclaimed as the very best product of its type ever made if what you want is the best possible piano feel in a controller keyboard.
Please note there are no onboard sounds or speakers on this keyboard. The K&M 18950 stand pictured is not included (but will be available in a separate eBay listing). No original box, music rest, power adaptor, manual or software. If you need a USB cable Ive got one you can have.
The VPC1 is almost 30kg in weight and so it MUST be collected by the buyer. If you need a stand do please check out the K&M stand on my other listing (and as seen in these VPC1 pics).
