Kemble Oxford II upright piano which was made in England in 2004

 

The dimensions are as follows

 

H 1.11 m x W 1.50 m x D 0.53 m (H 3 6 x W 4 9 x D 1 7) The wood has a Rosewood Satin finish.

 

 

This piano boasts a pleasant, resonant tone and has rounded good notes across the whole keyboard but especially in the bass section. The action is well balanced across the entire keyboard. It is also medium in action and suitable for the inexperienced, as well as, experienced pianist and is an ideal instrument for a learner or aspiring student of music.

 

 

The piano stool is fully height-adjustable and in very good working condition.

Kemble Pianos was founded in 1911 by Michael Kemble in Stoke Newington, North London – the centre of the UK’s piano manufacturing activity at that time.Michael Kemble’s son, Robert, took over the business in the 1950s and moved the company to a state-of-the-art factory in Bletchley, near today’s new city of Milton Keynes. Sales were growing rapidly and the company needed to expand production.1968 saw the Kemble family enter into a joint venture with The Yamaha Corporation of Japan and, over the next few years, the joint partners established Yamaha-Kemble Music (UK) Ltd.In 1985 Kemble and Co. started making a range of acoustic pianos for Yamaha, to be sold in the UK market and, two years later, Yamaha chose Kemble to become its European manufacturing partner.Founder Michael’s grandson, Brian Kemble, was appointed Managing Director in 1986.Kemble and Co. was recognized in 1992 by the granting of The Queen’s Award for Export Achievement, the only British company in the piano industry ever to receive this accolade.In 2009 Kemble collaborated with Austrian piano manufacture Bsendorfer and released the Special Edition Chopin model in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth.2009 – Manufacturing of Kemble pianos moved to Yamaha’s factories in the Far East.2011 – Kemble celebrates 100 years of designing and making fine pianos.
