This is a vintage electric reed “suitcase” organ, covering 4 octaves, with 49 keys
It is made by Koestler of West Germany and dates from the 1950’s or 1960’s and it is built into a green Selmer case
The organ is in good vintage condition, with a couple of scuffs and signs of use and age, but no major damage
It is in working order, all but two of the keys are functioning correctly, except for the lowest B flat and the top F (the highest key on the keyboard) and the fan which produces the air for the reeds is quite loud, so although it is fine to use as it is (best on the higher volume), it would benefit from an internal clean. There is a sliding baffle (just under the keyboard – see photo 5) which is the volume control and that is also in working order
It has a great Retro look and the often missing “harmophone” badge is still intact
When closed up it looks like a suitcase and measures 63 x 33 x 17cm
It weighs approximately 7kg, so I am selling to UK buyers only, NO INTERNATIONAL buyers, or collection in person from Newcastle-upon-Tyne
