I have changed the old ‘Black Beauty’ caps pictured for modern orange drops.
I have serviced the motor assembly by checking bearings , oiling and alignment.
The unit has been completely cleaned and dusted.
I have purchased a brand new Andrews Amp Lab. crossover unit at a cost of 300 from the USA.
All is working properly and sounds wonderful.
Collection only as they are quite big.
The Leslie 18 has a 12″ speaker , whereas the 16 and Fender Vibratone (exactly the same thing, latterly bought out by Fender) have a 10″.
Ideal for a recording studio for the authentic rotating speaker effect.
Equally suited to guitar or keyboard use.
