Leslie Speaker 145/147 in Full Working Condition
DescriptionThis is a classic Leslie 145 rotary speaker unit with a 147 valve amplifier. It is fully tested, cleaned inside and out, and the motor drives checked and adjusted as per the service manual
The winning bidder can hear and see it working, demonstrated hooked up to a tone-wheel Hammond. It sounds simply fabulous with no faults.
Cosmetically it is in good condition – there are some small marks to the varnish and edges and a surface mark to the upper panel. This is not a unit that has been gigged. It came from a small recording studio who bought it from a church. It has not had a hard life.
To the rear the upper and lower panels have been replaced with pegboard – a common modification to allow more sound out from the upper and lower horn and speaker.
It is collection only – it is the size of an average washing machine and quite a substantial weight.

The difference between a 145 and 147 Leslie unit is the size of the cabinet, nothing else. The 147 is slightly taller by 8″, otherwise they are identical.
The amplifier is valve powered.
