A short rank of 4-foot Wald Flute pipes:- 44 pipes, starting at ‘Tenor C’ up to ‘Top G’.
N.B. The bottom 5 pipes are stopped flutes; the other 39 are open pipes with inverted mouths, (see photos). The top two pipes, (‘F#’ & ‘G’), are from another organ as the compass of the instrument from which most of the pipes were removed only had a 54 note keyboard. The original builders were W G Vowles of Bristol and the pipes probably date from the 1880’s.
The pipes have been ‘seller refurbished’, but some of the pipe feet are still loose. They have been left unglued to allow the purchaser to easily mount them upright on a new windchest before re-gluing.
